Screenprint of a single Swallowtail butterfly. Framed in solid oak with Art Glass, which has low reflectivity and 70% UV protection.
This artwork has been created by hand-printing nine layers of ink over a wash of watercolour onto beautifully textured Saunders Waterford 300gsm paper. This is one of the UK's rarest butterflies. It has declined over the twentieth century and is now believed to be benefiting from the last few decades of conservation of its open fen habitat; a glimmer of hope for the future of this spectacular butterfly.

Framed size: W212mm x H212mm x D30mm.
Artwork paper size: Approx 120mm x 120mm with hand-torn and deckle edges, float mounted within the frame.
Limited Edition of 100.
Due to the hand-painted layer, each artwork is slightly different within the edition.
Please note that this framed artwork will be double boxed with extra padding, using a mix of new and recycled materials to ensure safe delivery.
