Description

Dorothy is a beautiful shirt in a boxy cut with some lovely details and style. It is as joyful as it is practical; deep patch pockets adorn the front, a neat collar frames the face and the bracelet length sleeves are finished with a cuff. A fun peplum is generously gathered to the loose waist and adds plenty swing! Sitting on the high hip, Dorothy looks just as good with jeans as it does over dresses. The buttons are natural corozo and complement the woven stripe.

Model is a UK size 8 and is wearing a size 1

Need to know

We can custom the length to make longer if desired. Just get in touch and let us know.

Fabric and care guide

52% linen, 48% cotton. Premium laundered linen/cotton blend in a classic navy and off white skinny stripe. Made using AZO-free dyes.
Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Linen will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.

All of our garments are cut for comfort. Each style is dual sized and will be slightly looser on the smaller size. Please see our Dorothy size chart for finished garment measurements.

If in doubt about your size, please get in touch.

MADE TO ORDER - We make our garments to order so that nothing is wasted. We are work to a three week schedule from order to dispatch. This may change during busy periods.

Made in Lancashire, England

The Story

Dorothy is named after my mum who was little sister to Joan and Molly. She was brought up during WW2 and like many of that generation, make do and mend became part of their life. Her philosophy was buy good quality and it will last. She always invested in good quality clothes and shoes that would work hard for many years. Only a practical shirt could be a Dorothy style. If it wasn’t practical, useful and made to last she wouldn’t entertain it.
