Decorative panel made from a little table, saved from landfill, now art for the wall!...

Decorative panel made from a little table, saved from landfill, now art for the wall!

Painted in thick layers of paint. I have decorated this using an image from an antique still life, sourced and printed in fade-resistant ink, by myself. The text reads 'don't let them tame you' in the pale pink of the undercoat. Distressed all over, in some areas back to wood. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged, bohemian piece.

Finally, varnished. I have added a wire hanger to the back so that this is ready to be hung on the wall.

60cm in diameter
5cm thick including the back mount,

Please note that this has been created using vintage materials and the wood may retain some of its original characteristics such as dinks and knocks.

Hello, I’m Vikki, an upcycling artist from beautiful Dorset. I create statement décor from things that probably would have ended up in landfill. I combine imagery (the quirkier the better) with wording (sometimes sweary, always empowering) and bright paint colours and bring all of these components together in textured layers.
