All these beautiful flowers have been arranged as a full wreath to represent continuous life, a powerful symbol of eternal hope. The centre of the wreath is slightly small to represent almost a portal to another world. The land of Fae.
This beautiful wreath combines old traditions of using herbs and flowers. Drawing on my own ancestry, bloodlines & Celtic heritage.

Flowers and herbs in the wreath (these very special wreaths are made to order and occasionally the flowers may vary):

  • Lavender - Symbolism Protective properties, healing, faithfulness, peacefulness.
  • Sage - The Genus name for sage is Salvia, meaning to heal, redeem. Often associated with wisdom & clarity. Sage was a sacred ceremonial herb of the Romans. Through out history it has been used to clear a space of negative energy
  • Rosemary - a beautiful aromatic herb an ancient symbol of remembrance. Love & everlasting memories. Rosemary in times passed was often hung on the main entrance door to keep harmful energies away
  • Marjoram- A beautiful smelling herb associated with love, joy & happiness. It was often worn as part of wedding crowns in wedding ceremonies. It has a long history as a medicinal herb. Before hops were widely used to make beer, it was used to flavor ales with other herbs during the Middle Ages
  • Chamomile (Fever Few) - A symbol of health and happiness. In Victorian times the sentiment was ‘You light up my life’. During Medieval Plague, it was often planted at the back door to protect against its disease. It was thought it’s strong smell could purify the air. It was often used by midwife’s including by my 10 x Great Grandmother. Fever few is a protector, it can create a sacred safe space. It’s often related to winter solstice, new moons and the longest nights. It’s an old scared herb.
  • Bronze Fennel - Signifies joy and strength
  • Peppermint - this sweet smelling herb is often associated with wisdom and virtue. In Greek Mythology the goddess Persephone suspected her husband Hades of having a tryst with a nymph named Minthe. In a rage she transformed the nymph into a perennial herb. Other herbs include Lemon Balm & flowering Mint
  • The flowers, are a mixture of dried sweetpeas. Sea lavender, Helichrysum and seasonal flowers such as Dahlias and Sunflowers.

Helichrysum are often associated with immortality and always remembered.
- Bracken Ferns - A long Celtic tradition of love and protection.
- Green Oats
- Parvi Eucalyptus
- Wheat
- Beautiful light wispy Panicum Grass

Beautiful Sustainable, Seasonal Dried Flowers, Herbs & Grasses, dried and handmade by Deborah-Máire Moon, Founder of MoonKo. MoonKo a beautiful Atelier, where all the flowers are prepared and dried. The flowers are seasonally and naturally air dried with no chemicals, in small batches. The fresh flowers, that are hand dried by Deborah Maire, arrive fresh from incredible growers, all across the U.K and very occasionally from Europe. Its very important to me that no insecticides or fungicides are used in the growing process. The drying process can take many months to perfect and is air dry only.
