Description

This pottery monstera leaf is hand made in my pottery studio from stoneware clay. I print the dish with a fig leaves from my garden capturing the detailing of the veins in the leaves. I then hand paint it in a loose painterly style. The leaf is glazed in a transparent glaze and fired twice in Kylie my kiln.
The pottery leaf dish is perfect to display in your home if you're a plant lover like me. It has many uses keep it on your dressing table for your jewellery, can be used as a soap dish or for anything you choose.
I have small and large sizes available.

The Thoughtful Potter

taunton, somerset

Small batch artisan stoneware pottery hand made in my log cabin studio in Somerset.

I create functional pottery that feels delicious to hold in your hands. Hand thrown on Betty my pottery wheel my pots are very tactile, you can feel the artisanal making processes in each one.

My work is inspired by inspiring words, my love of nature and the beautiful Somerset countryside where I live.

My pottery is decorated by either imprinting flowers into the clay or free painting flowers, birds or fungi and are finished in my range of unique hand mixed glazes.
