Got a question about this product?
A beautiful Victorian unearthed stoneware pottery jar with a hand painted quote.
With ancient patina and signs of having been underground but in great condition.
Hand painted using traditional sign writing materials and techniques.
Measurements
H13.5cm Diameter 9cm.
Each jar is slightly different as they were used in Victorian times then discarded and buried in old slurry pits. After being rediscovered by professional pot hunters they are then cleaned, stripped and made ready for their second lives as decorative objects.
Each one is hand painted then sealed to make them waterproof.
*Care instructions- as these pieces are hand painted we recommend avoiding abrasive cloths or detergents. A soft, dry cloth lightly applied is best. Do not soak in water or place in the dishwasher.
