Miniature hand pulled screenprint of six layers and a watercolour wash on beautifully textured Saunders Waterford 300gsm paper.

This print is also known as 'The Place where the Pixies heard the echo of a Narina Trogon call'; a most magical bird with a haunting song, heard only by a lucky few.

Hello - I’m Kath Leone, a contemporary artist and textile designer from Cape Town, South Africa.

I create limited edition screen prints inspired by nature. These are imaginative scenes and pseudo botanical compositions featuring plants, insects, animals, fungi and sea life.

Whether free-diving in Cape Town’s magical kelp forests or sketching mushrooms and mosses under a shady tree canopy in the English countryside, I am repeatedly drawn to the detailed richness of life in these varied and awe-inspiring forest environments.
