This solid wood panel used to be a piece of table and is now art for the wall!...

This solid wood panel used to be a piece of table and is now art for the wall!

Decorated in decoupaged collage of Victorian Seaside illustrations from antique encyclopaedias, all curated, copied and layered by myself. They are printed in fade resistant ink. I have then hand painted across the top to blend them together with thick layers and splashes of Chalk paint. The text reads in the red of the undercoat: ' oh I do like to be beside the seaside'.

Heavily distressed all over to create the feel of an aged bohemian piece. Finally, varnished and with a wired hanger on the back so it is ready for the wall.

Dimensions: 59.5cmx59.5cmx1.5cm

Hello, I’m Vikki, an upcycling artist from beautiful Dorset. I create statement décor from things that probably would have ended up in landfill. I combine imagery (the quirkier the better) with wording (sometimes sweary, always empowering) and bright paint colours and bring all of these components together in textured layers.
