Made, painted and fired by Katch Skinner in West Yorkshire.
Designed as egg cups, they can also be used as a salt pots, jewellery bowls and more.
Each one takes over a week to create, as it is first slip cast and carved and fettled, before being under-glazed and hand painted. It is bisque fired for two days in the kiln, then glazed, then finally re-fired – for a truly unique and distinctively handcrafted finish. Please note: The handmade nature of these pieces means that some variation in colour and form is to be expected.Made, painted and fired by me in West

I use all sorts of hand building and mould making for slip casting . Each earthenware piece is unique, using hand painted underglazes, slips for mono printing and sgraffito. I love ceramics - all types and processes, taking the wet clay and changing it be something totally different from its original state. There is still an excitement for me every time I go to open the kiln, I am always learning from it, it’s a medium that keeps you on your toes and has an addictive alchemy.
