Pronounced “con-kill-iay” in Italian or “shells” in Yorkshire.
Most commonly referred to as ‘shells’, Conchiglie Rigate cuddle sauces more than any other pasta due to the rigid outer and smooth, deep, cave-like interior. They are excellent with lighter sauces and those with chunky pieces. For our family, these shells are the basis for the most awesome twist on ‘Mac ‘n’ Cheese’; each pasta piece oozes cheese and those oh so cheeky bacon pieces seem to magically hide in the centres for an exhilarating crispy surprise.
British Artisan Pasta. You probably didn’t know that dried pasta could taste this good! Our Yorkshire Pasta is made by combining locally milled wheat flour with traditional techniques enabling us to create a beautiful wholesome and robust pasta. We dry our pasta slowly overnight at gentle temperatures to allow the flavour to really develop. And of course, we use bronze dies meaning that our pasta soaks up the sauce way better than mass manufactured pasta. Our pasta is Vegan and we make a huge effort to be sustainable; using green energy and selling our pasta in 100% recyclable paper packaging! All of our Pasta only items have a 24 months shelf life. The pasta keeps the same once opened as long as they are not able to get damp – store in a cool dry place.

Hi my name is Kathryn, I am the founder of The Yorkshire Pasta Company and a proud mummy of 2, I founded The Yorkshire Pasta Company when I was only 27. I’m so proud to have started the first British Pasta brand and to have done it so sustainably.
I love running the business, it has been a steep learning curve and I’ve learnt so much! I have met so many amazing people and businesses over the last 5 years.
Some of my highlights so far include appearing on James Martin, making the Finals of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and supplying Harrods. I am always blown away to hear Italians raving about our Yorkshire Pasta and hearing stories of it being sent to Italy to show family!
Favourite pasta dish: A rich and decadent bolognese with ample parmesan and a very garlicky garlic bread!
