This one of a kind, cyanotype cameo features the Fritillaria meleagris or Snakeshead Fritillary.
I created this image using the Victorian photography process of cyanotype. This means that I have used a real plant, sunlight and a UV sensitive solution to capture the ephemeral shadow of this flower on paper.
A collection created from my favourite flowers, these botanical cameos are a celebration of nature's splendour, intended to enrich your home with year-round beauty. These floral artworks offer a timeless connection to the natural world.
Size Medium:
Medium sized Cameo
Frame is approximately 160mm, 61/4" diameter
Image is approximately 120mm, 4 3/4" diameter
Includes frame, thin acrylic glass, hanging hook
All floral cameos come in handmade wooden frames, ready to hang.
The artwork is a one of a kind, archival cyanotype, signed on the back for authenticity.
All artwork is packaged using recycled or recyclable materials.
Please keep your print out of direct sunlight. If, over time, your print has faded remove it to a dark place and within two weeks, as if by magic it will be restored to the original Prussian blue colour. All cyanotypes are made on archival paper and should last many years.

Hello, I'm Marita.
I've been an artist all my life but only realised it recently.
I make art using little more than flowers, sunlight and iron salts, which I think is simply magical. The process is called Cyanotype. It results in soothing, Prussian blue and white images.
My art is for flower lovers, nature lovers and everyone seeking to add beauty to your life and enrich your environment. My art is hopeful and optimistic and will inspire a deeper connection to the natural world.
Lovely to meet you x
