A large ceramic mug handcrafted from white stoneware clay and finished either 'Lulworth Cove' or 'Durdle Door' glaze.
Inspired by happy childhood trips to the Dorset coast, each mug is big enough for a generous cuppa or warming hot chocolate...
Glaze details:
Lulworth Cove - This glaze includes deep cobalt blues melting into hints of lighter blue & greens, and finishing at the top in a mottled white glossy glaze. These mugs encapsulate the ebb and flow of waves through their dynamic glazes.
Durdle Door - This glaze is created with speckles of cobalt blue over a matte white base. These mugs encapsulate the sandy pebbled shoreline through their speckled glazes.
Each mug is truly unique and may differ very slightly from the photo as each glaze will melt creating its own unique pattern.

My work is crafted at my home studio in West Berkshire, UK. Each piece is unique and bears the signs of the handcrafted process; the press of the thumb and the turn of the wheel.

Each piece is crafted from stoneware clay either by hand or on the pottery wheel, then dried and trimmed to shape. Each piece is then bisque fired in the kiln, glazed and fired a second time. I then sand and clean each piece prior to sending out. Pottery is a long process with each piece taking a week or two to complete. It is a labour of love.

All items are sustainably gift wrapped as standard with white tissue paper.
