Upcycled coffee table top made into art for the wall!...
Upcycled coffee table top made into art for the wall!
Painted in thick layers of paint. This features antique images, stars and butterflies copied in fade resistant ink, curated, resized and layered by myself. Applied, using the decoupage technique. I have then painted across the top in very thick, textured layers and then distressed this, in some areas back to wood. The text reads in the colours of the undercoat. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece.
Finally varnished and with a wire on the back so it's ready to hang on the wall.
DIMENSIONS:
76cm diameter, 2cm thick

Dorchester, Dorset
Hello, I’m Vikki, an upcycling artist from beautiful Dorset. I create statement décor from things that probably would have ended up in landfill. I combine imagery (the quirkier the better) with wording (sometimes sweary, always empowering) and bright paint colours and bring all of these components together in textured layers. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged, bohemian piece that not only recycles but will make you smile every time you look at it.
