Need to Know
- Knit your own Angus the Pheasant, a soft and cuddly countryside companion.
- The kit includes all the yarn and notions you need: a full colour printed knitting pattern, 8 different colours of high quality, soft DK acrylic yarn (including beautiful Highland Heathers tweed yarns), polyester toy stuffing, black beads and thread, red and yellow felt, a yarn shade organiser card, and a Team Pheasant sticker.
- Knitting needles and darning needles are not included as many knitters already own a pair.
- You can add a pair of 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles for £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles for £1.50.
- Knitted flat on a pair of 4mm (UK 8/ US 6) knitting needles. No knitting in the round required.
- Suitable for beginners who know the basics: stocking stitch, increasing (inc 1) and decreasing (k2tog).
- There’s colour-changing on some rows, so you will need to use the Intarsia technique to change yarns mid-row.
- Finished pheasant is approximately 17cm tall.
- Gift box measures 28cm x 19cm x 8cm.
- All kit and parcel packaging is plastic-free and recyclable.
- Each kit is carefully handmade and packed by me in the UK.

Knit your own Angus the Pheasant, a charming countryside companion for bird lovers and crafters alike. This pheasant knit kit is an ideal way for a bird-lover to rest and recharge after a long winter walk.
Angus has stunning tweedy plumage, a cheeky expression, and he’s just the right size to sit in your hand for a comforting squeeze. I often see these beautiful birds strutting about the farmers’ fields where I live in Caithness, so I just had to knit one.
Each kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and contains all the yarn and notions you need to knit a soft and cuddly pheasant friend. Simply add your own pair of 4mm knitting needles, a yarn darning needle and an ordinary sewing needle. No need to order all the different yarns and bits and pieces, you can sit back, relax, and start knitting straight away.
Your kit is presented in a large, stylish gift box, and bundled up in plastic-free, recyclable packaging. This is a thoughtful, original gift for a knitter, birder, or pheasant fan. The kit includes a cute Team Pheasant sticker so they can show their support for these iconic countryside birds.
