Need to Know
- Suitable for beginners: knitted flat on 4mm (UK 8/ US 6) knitting needles.
- Skills needed: stocking stitch, increasing (inc 1), decreasing (k2tog).
- Uses Intarsia technique to change yarn colours mid-row.
- Kit includes: a full colour printed knitting pattern, 5 colours of soft DK acrylic yarn, polyester toy stuffing, and a Barry the Puffin button badge.
- Knitting needles and darning needles are not included as many knitters already own a pair - but if you'd like to add these to your kit, a pair of 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles are £1.50.
- All kit and parcel packaging is plastic-free, and recyclable.
- Your kit will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Barry The Puffin is a knittable puffin toy kit for bird lovers and crafters. This cute and relaxing kit is a great way to rest and recharge after a hard day’s birdwatching.
Barry is a very friendly puffin, and he’s just the right size to sit in your hand for a comforting squeeze. I live in Caithness, in the north east Scottish Highlands, and we're lucky enough to have these beautiful birds come to the nearby cliffs in the spring to breed. They're real characters, with their colourful beaks and smart black and white plumage. I'm hoping that Barry will bring a little bit of the Scottish Highlands into your home, even if you're hundreds of miles away!
Each kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and contains all the yarn and notions you need to knit a cuddly puffin friend, simply add your own pair of 4mm knitting needles, a yarn darning needle and an ordinary sewing needle. No need to order all the different yarns and bits and pieces, you can sit back, relax, and start knitting straight away.
