Need to Know
- Suitable for beginners. Knitted flat on 4mm (UK 8/ US 6) needles.
- Basic skills required: stocking stitch, increasing (inc 1) and decreasing (k2tog).
- Uses Intarsia technique to change yarns mid-row.
- Kit includes: a full colour printed knitting pattern; 5 colours of soft DK acrylic yarn; polyester toy stuffing; black beads and thread; yellow felt; a Big Liam sticker.
- Knitting needles and darning needles are not included as many knitters already own a pair - but if you'd like to add these to your kit, a pair of 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles are £1.50.
- All kit and parcel packaging is plastic-free, and recyclable.
- Your kit will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.

This cute and relaxing wood pigeon knitting kit is a great way for a bird-lover to rest and recharge after a hard day’s birdwatching.
Big Liam is large, lovely, and he’s just the right size to sit in your hand for a comforting squeeze. For some reason lost in the mists of time, my family has always named every woodpigeon spotted in the countryside or in the garden as Liam. They are all called Liam, and a flock of them are known as a flock of Liams.
Each bird knitting kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and will contain all the yarn and notions that you need to knit a cuddly wood pigeon friend, simply add your own pair of 4mm knitting needles, a yarn darning needle and an ordinary sewing needle, and you're ready to go. No need to order all the different yarns and bits and pieces, you can sit back, relax, and start knitting straight away.
