Eight layer screenprint of a single Green Birdwing Butterfly on hand-painted Saunders Waterford paper 300gsm
This exotic and striking butterfly can be found in Central and South Moluccas, New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago, the Solomon Islands, and North-East Australia. The bright green colour in the artwork was achieved by overlaying three different yellow and two blue layers of translucent inks, resulting in more depth and intensity than a single flat colour.
Need to know
Paper size: Approx 12x12cm with hand-torn and deckle edges.
Limited edition of 20, signed by the artist.
Please note that due to the subtle hand-painted background layer, each artwork is slightly different within the edition.
This artwork is sold unframed.
