Need to Know
- Jarvis is suitable for beginners who know the basics of knitting.
- He is knitted flat on a pair of 4mm (UK 8/ US 6) knitting needles.
- Basic skills required: stocking stitch, increasing (inc 1) and decreasing (k2tog).
- There’s colour-changing on some rows, so you will need to use Intarsia technique to change yarns mid-row.
- You’ll need a 3.5mm crochet hook to attach his crest feathers, but no crochet skills are required.
- Jarvis has wire feet and a tail, which means he is not suitable for young children.
- Kit includes: a full colour printed knitting pattern; 4 colours of soft DK acrylic yarn; polyester toy stuffing; black beads and thread; orange felt and thread; a pipe cleaner; and cute bird stickers.
- Knitting needles, crochet hook, and darning needles are not included.
- Add-ons: a pair of 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50; a 3.5mm Pony crochet hook is £1.50; a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles is £1.50.
- All kit and parcel packaging is plastic-free, and recyclable.
- The gift box measures 28cm x 19cm x 8cm.
- Jarvis Cockatiel is 29cm tall, including his tail.
