Need to Know
- Suitable for beginners: Lucy and Larry are the easiest of all the knitted birds to make.
- Knitted flat on a pair of 4mm (UK 8/ US 6) knitting needles; no need to knit in the round.
- Basic skills required: stocking stitch, increasing (inc 1) and decreasing (k2tog).
- No colour-changing mid-row, making this a very chill knitting project.
- Kit includes: a full colour printed knitting pattern; 6 different shades of high quality, soft and colourful DK acrylic yarn; polyester toy stuffing; black beads and thread; a lovebirds button badge.
- Knitting needles and darning needles are not included as many knitters already own a pair - but if you'd like to add these to your kit, a pair of 4mm Pony aluminium knitting needles are £2.50, and a pack of 2 Pony or Hemline darning needles are £1.50.
- All kit and parcel packaging is plastic-free, and recyclable.
- Your kit will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
- The gift box measures 31cm x 21cm x 10cm.
- Each finished lovebird measures 13cm tall.

Knit a pair of adorable lovebirds with this beginner-friendly kit. Lucy and Larry are a pair of lovebirds, always extremely attached to their partners. They are soft, cuddly, and the perfect size to hop into your hand for a squeeze. They’d make a thoughtful gift for a Valentine, or for the real-life lovebird couples in your life.
Each bird knitting kit is carefully handmade and packed by me, and will contain all the yarn and notions that you need to knit a pair of lovebirds, simply add your own pair of 4mm knitting needles, a yarn darning needle and an ordinary sewing needle. Lucy and Larry come in vibrant green, yellow, and orange with red beaks.
Your lovebirds knitting kit is presented in a large, stylish gift box, and bundled up in plastic-free, recyclable packaging. A charming choice for bird lovers and knitters new to the craft.
