Six handprinted vintage-inspired greetings cards with envelopes.

This set of six BLANK INSIDE greetings cards (with matching envelopes) features two each of three designs and were inspired by a sign outside a disused Bingo hall in Sydenham near my studio.

I tried to buy the 'THE WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT' sign from the owners but they ignored my emails and I then considered 'rescuing' it but I ended up standing on a milk crate, photographing it and having it made into a photopolymer type high block instead! I then chose three images from my vintage illustration library and printed them inside the frames using a 1950's Adana printing press.

Because I can never leave anything alone I then used holographic thermo gloss powder on the frame to give it an extra lift.

Each deckle-edged card is 105mm x 148mm and comes with a matching envelope.
