This card depicts a showstopper of a birthday cake. It is a chocolate cake for the height of summer time, when the evenings are long, raspberries are in season and abundant. It is a card to send to someone you would like to bake this cake for and then watch them blow out all the candles. The card also has a little illustration on the back of a golden birthday candle aflame.
The artwork on the card is a digital print of my illustration of a birthday cake which is collaged from layers of hand painted paper with details drawn on top in watercolour pencil. While the original illustration is textured, the card has a smooth finish.
It is blank inside, ready to be filled with your birthday wishes!
The greetings card is printed in Gloucestershire on 300gsm, 100% recycled card.
It is 105mm (h) x 148 mm (w) when folded.
It comes with a 100% recycled Kraft Brown envelope.
It is packaged in a compostable film sleeve which is made in the U.K.

I am an artist and illustrator based in West Cornwall. I work in watercolour, gouache and pencil and I collage layers of hand painted paper to create textured illustrations. These are then digitally printed to make colourful, and mostly food inspired, greetings cards. I love to paint the seasonal ingredients on my kitchen table, as well as animals and flowers, and turn them into cards for you to fill with words of love.
