These elegant beasts started life as a sketch in pen and ink and ended up as lilac, dreamy and oh so camp Gorillas. The base layer of this print is screen printed with an adhesive and then hand leafed with metallic lilac gilding sheets. As with all of the prints they are a Limited Edition, these are only an edition of only 10 prints, 5 of which have already been shipped to a gallery. These beauts are made up of pink inky layers, each one hand lined up and pulled which means no two are exactly the same and each print is a unique piece of art.
Printed with water based inks which are more environmentally friendly and resistant to fading on to high quality 330gsm white GF Smith Paper | size A2

Hannah Carvell Screen Prints
somerset
Hannah Carvell is a Screen Printer, printing from her home studio in Somerset. Always bright colours that inject happiness into the art that she makes, whether that be with overlapping shades and shapes in abstract pieces or printing strange made up creatures, colourful hearts and flowers or pink gorillas. Hannah will always come back to a Dachshund in her sketches and they feature heavily in her prints. "I can’t resist them, my earliest memory is being in a pram with a litter of sausages, I have grown up with them, I had my own when I left home for Art college and currently Minnie Moomin is my printing assistant with a bed under my desk." I hope my art will always add a pop of colour to brighten up the walls of your home and spark joy when you walk into a room.
